LENT TIME TABLE FOR CATHOLIC CLIENTS ON SOLE SOURCE

ANY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING

o Fish pepper soup.
o GRILLED CHICKEN steamed veg.
o Steamed cabbage & peppered Snail or gizzard medium size
o Stir fry veg with shrimps or chicken
o Oil less Efo Riro with dried fish
o Dried fish & Okra with a dash of bitter leaf
o Egg Omelet
o Stir fry with shrimps or chicken
o Green salad
o 1 sachet of mushroom risotto
o 1 sachet of spaghetti Bolognese

NOTE: It is the assumption of this meal plan that you are fasting from midnight to 3 0r 6pm to the next day at 3 or 6pm. It is also assumed that you will be drinking your water allowance during the fasting hours.

1. You are only allowed green & white vegetables (lettuces, cabbage, celery, spring onions, radish, cucumber green pepper) any combination you like will be fine for the steamed or salad. Portion: 3 tablespoon only.
2. Steam or grill your chicken without the skin at all times: Size; 3 0z or size of a deck of cards.
3. Your choice of fish should be white or scaly fish i.e. Crocker. Avoid all slimy fish i.e. all catfish in any form smoked, baked, grilled.
4. Drinking water is still very important if possible drink more than you did during SS
5. “Eat slowly – it takes 15 minutes for your mind to register that your tummy is full”
6. Chose green small pepper instead of the red one.

7. THE PORTION IS THE KEY WORD DURING THIS PERIOD. IF YOU GET IT RIGHT YOU WILL STILL KEEP DROPING. ALL THE BEST MAY YOU GET THE FULL BENEFIT OF THE FAST.
